Scare Me Silly

Was watching Repo Men during duty and I realised how lost I feel watching a movie without subtitles. I mean, I do not seem to catch what they say in the movie that easily. Maybe it is because I'm too used to reading subtitles instead of listening. Do you feel the same way? Maybe subtitles have "spoilt" me such that I cannot watch a movie without subtitles. Btw, Repo Men is quite boring. So is Aviator, which is super long! But I must say Leonardo DeCaprio's acting is good.

And I wonder, are movies still being made in VCD? Everyone seems to be purchasing DVDs instead, or downloading movies. Speaking of which, I heard that my team commander today is against pirated movies. And then I wondered why. Maybe his relative works at a CD store? Then I thought, if you had a relative who made movies or sells DVDs (as in originals, not pirated), would you still download movies? As in, here is someone you know who earns his living from selling DVDs, and it will be bad to download movies and make business bad. I think I would probably stop downloading and buy originals. That's right, "say no to piracy".

I'm not sure why, but we watched REC 2. First time we tried we changed movie after 15mins because we were too scared. We did watch it in the end, and as usual the movie turned lousy once the demonic stuff came in. But I must say the reporter looks really pretty! And she's 34! Nice... Still, she cannot beat Catherine Zeta-Jones :D

Was talking about ghost stories and urban legends during the Saturday that I could have played paintball but instead was doing duty for YOG, and I heard about some red house near Downtown East. Wonder what is that about? Want to watch Haunted Changi! And there's Paranormal Activity 2 coming soon. I'm scared of horror movies, but I tend to feel like scaring myself a bit once in a while.

QAT is coming and all the regulars have their panties in a knot. They are asking me to do things at last minute, probably to save their own asses.

I have a few crazy ideas I thought of doing. One is where the CR gang try living a rich man's life for a night. Like maybe we could suit up, go to super expensive dining, hit the casino, drive a limo, get VIP access to a club like Butter Factory to end the night! Sure it is a ridiculous waste of money, but for once we should try not holding back on spending and feel what it's like to be some rich fellow.

Also, I plan to try celebrating National Day at Marina Bay Sands hotel. Get a room there, enjoy the pampered and expensive lifestyle, then go to the rooftop to enjoy the fireworks! It'll be cool because the fireworks will seem so close us!

I notice those movies with wedding scenes always show those poor single fellows always end up at the children's table. I hope I will never be in such a situation!

Inside my heart,
Is a personal wonderland.
